5 Things To Do During The COVID-19 Quarantine

We’re all suck inside to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus so let’s take this time to work on some projects! Here are five things you can do to keep busy while practicing social distancing.

1. Declutter and organize

We all have those areas in our house that are magnets for collecting our lesser used stuff. For us, it’s basement. Anything our 3-year-old has outgrown (clothes, pacifiers, baby toys, you get the idea) goes into tubs that are stacked in the basement.

Now would be a great time to start going through those bins. Maybe try to go through one a day or make a goal of completing one a week, whichever fits your schedule. Donate, recycle, or throw away pieces you no longer need or want.

I have an Instagram highlight bubble about using the KonMarie method to declutter my closet and kitchen if you’re interested.

2. Switch up your decor

It may be rainy and cold in Ohio right now, but Spring is (hopefully) right around the corner! This week I took everything off the shelves in my downstairs bathroom and replaced it with lighter, more colorful decor.

Try moving your couch pillows to your bed or moving your artwork around. There are so many different ways to make your home look fresh by using what you already have.

3. Rearrange furniture

We all could use a little exercise right now. I bought some heavy duty furniture sliders from Amazon a few weeks ago and have already put them to use by rearranging my daughter’s bedroom.

4.     Paint something

Are you like me with a ton of leftover paint in your garage or basement? Well, it’s time to paint all those rooms that I have been dying to paint but haven’t had enough time.

Have an old canvas that you no longer love? Add a coat of white paint and create something new.

5.     Print new artwork

Not the creative type? There are plenty of places online that sell digital prints. By BFF Courtney has a personal shop on Etsy with inspiring phrases all hand-lettered.

You could switch out some picture frames with something new for $5-$10.

Takeaway

Use this time stuck at home to do something lovely for your home. Switching up artwork or rearranging furniture can keep your spirits up.

Hang in there and stay healthy!
