Gold Sharpie Heart Wallpaper

We worked on a fun and quick project this morning in my daughter’s room. Well actually, in her closet.

I had previously placed some peel and stick dots from the Oh Joy Target collection in her closet but the colors were clashing with the ombre wall and the rest of her artwork.

So, this morning I sketched up a few simple designs on some large art paper. We taped them up in her closet and decided on simple gold hearts using a metallic oil-based Sharpie.

After cleaning out the closet, I went to town drawing and filling in a bunch of tiny hearts. It was the easiest project I’ve probably ever done. Took only a few minutes (and that’s with her asking to help). And I have to say, I’m extremely pleased with the end result.

I’m glad we decided on the simple heart design because it was way easier to draw these while she was holding onto the back of the metallic Sharpie.
